Contemporary Art Graphics – Pu erh discs is part of a series that explores the sometimes imagined and sometimes real relationship between tea, ballet and bonsai. We could say that Transylvania and China are fused in the picture, but in fact, the monochrome print on paper was created along the graphic values. The graphics were made in one copy – just like the rest of the series. The pressed tea discs, which appear as a Sun-Moon motif, focus on the 3 to 5 to 7 Chinese numerals and the physical, spherical and sacred worlds. Graphics carry both cultural and physical dependence on the Sun as a layer meaning – referring to the relationship between culture and physical reality and their interdependence.
Paper-based graphics are offered for sale with plywood and frames. The frame (the overall size of the image) is 51.5 x 71.5 cm.
