Double-sided shikishi with graphic print – gold-plated edge on medial surface. This artwork is a modern representative of the graphics that can be inserted into their tanzaku or kakejiku (Japanese scroll). The drawings made of drawn artwork, printed on both sides of shikishi, were destroyed after printing. One single copy we offer for sale with this product. On one side, depicts a frog who trying to make a bonsai tree with a worm. The other side of the shikishi depicts a beaver who is surprised to face a bonsai scissor with a structure similar to his teeth. The graphics are made of cardboard-coated rice paper, which is highlighted with gold on the edge.
