Description

Hojicha Kagoshima – Japanese green tea from Kagoshima 60g:

Traditional Japanese green tea, which is typically made from sencha or bancha tea in its region. At the end of the brewing process, the tea is finished with a gentle roasting process, creating a unique taste and aroma world that has its own fan camps around the world. Hojicha teas are considered to be long-lasting teas. Its aftertaste is floral (some like mango) and most of the time it is compared to Gyokuro tea. At the same time, it is somewhat reminiscent of the typical Chinese oolong teas (wulong teas), with the difference that caffeine content is lower (tein), so we can consume a little more of this tasty tea during the day. The reason for this is that the raw material for this tea is a premium bancha. Although, as mentioned above, many people compare it to Gyokuro, we find it more like a loose Genmaicha tea for taste. It’s hard to get tired and expect to make four excellent brews at any time.

Its preparation is the same as traditional Chinese and Japanese green teas. The general recommended soaking time is 3 minutes, but we from the Kitsimono workshop (although this is a matter of taste) prefer a maximum soaking time of 2 minutes.
