Shikishi with graphic print 02.:
Also called shakishi, which is made with a graphic print (from medial matrix) with a gilded edge. This artwork is a modern representative of the graphics that can be inserted into tanzaku or kakejiku (Japanese scroll). The medial matrix made of drawn graphics, wich by printed the shikishi, was destroyed after printing. One single copy we offer for sale with this product. The graphic depicts the still life of a shohin bonsai styling. The graphics are made of cardboard-coated rice paper, which is highlighted with gold on the edge. The illustration of a shikishi is a chapter in a story from our short novel writings. The story is titled “Pine-needle from Saitama”, what you can read details in Hungarian.
