Suhama-gata chawan with kanji decoration, “Empty sky chawan”
For hot drinks, tea and coffee, we recommend this small stone tiled ceramic pottery. In terms of form, it is a “shoreline” type, that is to say, a peripheral wall (shore line type), its glazing is subdued in color, with a cloudy sky in its interior. The tea or coffee is adorned with decoration on the bottom of the cup, the Japanese “row” of kanji, which, in addition to “sky”, also means “emptiness”.
