It fits well in a modern apartment or kitchen and looks good on a dining table and is also a pleasant element of tea drinking. The pattern is old-fashioned, the wooden underlay has a warm atmosphere. Here are some important things to know when using it:

  • Do not clean in the dishwasher.
  • Do not put in the microwave – do not heat the tea in it in this way.
  • Do not allow the wooden washer to stand in water (to prevent it from cracking after drying).

The gift is 2 380 HUF worth of tea that we add to the teapot:

Genmaicha – Japanese green tea with roasted rice grains “popcorn tea” – 80g. Traditional Japanese green tea is Genmaicha. It is known by many names but of these, in addition to Genmai cha, popcorn tea is the most common. It has an interesting past because it was originally made from cheaper bancha teas (which is also green tea) with the addition of toasted brown rice – which practically diluted the tea to make it cheaper. Hence the well-known Japanese stanza, “Genmaicha is the tea of the poor”. Since then, Genmaicha has run a great career because it has become popular in Japan due to its interesting taste and high enjoyment value. This is how a world tea career started from Kyoto. Today, most of them are made with an organic process, as is the 80g package we offer. While consumed in Korea as a medicinal drink by all walks of life, it has ringed into the collections of Japanese tea lovers in Europe as a luxury item. He soon got the name popcorn tea in the world outside of Japan, which can only be explained by the fact that while roasting brown rice, some grains popped out one by one and it was also added to the tea. (Some people eat these rice grains after cooking several times – but don’t tell anyone!) Because this tea required mochi rice used for mochi flour, the professional ability to make it remained virtually in Asia, especially in Japan. Such is a tea that was invented for the poor and then became the privilege of the rich.

Its taste is strongly determined by toasted rice. The taste is similar to that of dietary bread supplements made from puffed rice (which girls mostly eat for snack for fear of their shape). In addition to such health-preserving sandwiches and nutritional supplements, Genmaicha green tea, which has an excellent taste, is not only trendy but also healthy – being that organic green tea is practically.

Did you know?

Although Genmaicha tea was most often made from bancha tea, it was also rarely made using sencha tea or gyokuro tea. Today, organic banchas are more typical ingredients, which we also know to have a low caffeine (tein) content – which is why they are a pleasant drink even after a meal.

Preparation:

Like most green teas, it is poured with water cooled back to ~ 80 ° C, soaked for a maximum of 2-3 minutes (so as not to be bitter) and then consumed after filtration. We usually soak for 1-2 minutes instead, we think the result is better, but of course it’s a matter of taste.
